  U.S. Representative Louie Gohmert (TX-01), along with other House Republicans, unveiled the Declaration of Health Care Independence on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in HVC-201. The Declaration of Health Care Independence is a commitment to protect the rights of the American people to make their own health decisions, reduce bureaucratic red-tape, decrease intergenerational debt, and includes 10 common-sense principles that must be included in future health care reforms.
