An online group called "Let Freedom Ring" is asking lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to sign a pledge that promises to oppose any health care bill that Congress hasn't had time to read. They also want the bill posted online for 72 hours before any official vote. One of the members of Congress that's signed the bill is Louie Gohmert, who represents parts of East Texas. He says it's important for people to let Washington know "how they feel" about healthcare policies. Mr. Gohmert adds the practice of adding new pages into bill that haven't been read is a practice that has to stop. |
